Hankook Spain has signed an agreement with the Japanese brand “Subaru”, to be the official sponsor for the Impreza Cup 04. This cup is in the Gravel Rallies of Spain 2004. Hankook will mount tires in all the Subaru cars for the 8 races of the championship.

In this way, Hankook Spain is being introduced into the motor sport market in Spain, following the work frame of Hankook in the rest of countries. Hankook is in different type of motor competitions such as: Formula 3, Gravel Rallies, etc all around the world.

The participants number of this Cup has been 6 cars until Madrid Rally, but for the next one in Granada the number will be increase on 8 cars.

Hankook Spain has for its “Motorsports Project” one of the best drivers in this Impreza Cup 04, Carlos Aldecoa. It has been sponsored his car, with the Hankook corporate colours, black, white and orange. Being the two rallyes of Madrid the ones where the car competed with this new design for the first time.

The first Rally in Madrid was on 7^th September. Mr. Aldecoa won the race. He beat very difficult drivers, such as the Portuguese Adruzilo Lopes. In the second race, Mr. Aldecoa was second in the race. In the general classification of the championship, Mr. Aldecoa is in the first position.

It is very promising for Hankook Spain this Motor Sport beginning. In Hankook Spain it is wanted to boost this sportive marketing to all the levels and races. That is why, we want to focus in this area more and more and get into more motor sports competition.
